Donate

Keep math free for the next student.

Every donation supports both SF Math Academy's free camps and the SF Math Open, a free math competition run by students. We suggest $15, but any amount helps, and nobody is ever asked twice.

Paid securely through Stripe. We never see your card number.

Where your donation goes

One gift, two free programs.

Both are part of the San Francisco Math Initiative, and both are run entirely by students. Your donation is shared between them.

Teaching

SF Math Academy

Live math on Zoom, taught by high school students who all qualified for the AIME.

  • A free summer camp: nothing to pay to apply or to attend.
  • Private lessons and small group classes, priced as low as we can keep them.
  • Free math programs for partner schools in the United States, Taiwan, France and England.

Your donation helps pay for: Zoom, camp materials and contest prizes, so the next camp is free too.

Competition

SF Math Open

A free math competition for students, with problems written and the day run by students.

  • SFMO 2027: one day in San Francisco in January 2027, in teams of up to four. Teams more than 100 miles from the Bay Area compete online.
  • Three free contests a year: the Math Open, the Mini Math Meet (online, grades 3–12) and the Proof Open (proof-writing, grades 5–12).
  • No entry fee, ever. Over 150 students from four continents have competed for more than $5,000 in prizes.
  • Team registration for SFMO 2027 opens October 24, 2026.

Your donation helps pay for: Prizes and running the contest day, so entry stays free.
